ASM International invites engineers to join its Equipment Engineering group as an Engineer II. You will support development, installation, and stable operation of advanced R&D equipment for new product development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, safety and performance.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and 1–3+ years in semiconductor equipment, with hands-on installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
• Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance or troubleshooting of semiconductor equipment.
• Understanding of wafer fab operations, gas and vacuum systems, and equipment control concepts.
• Familiarity with cleanroom environments and safe handling of chemicals and gases.

Aufgaben

• Support installation, upgrade, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of R&D equipment during new product development.
• Assist with first builds, bring-up, and testing of new products with R&D and facilities teams.
• Perform hands-on troubleshooting and root cause analysis to restore equipment performance and uptime.
• Monitor daily operation of R&D lab equipment to ensure stability and reliability of tool performance.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Electrical, Process, and Software engineers during equipment development and integration.
