Job summary

Vishay UltraSource in Hollis, NH seeks an Equipment Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot and improve sputtering and vacuum production equipment. You will be on the floor supporting production, diagnosing failures, and implementing robust repairs with an emphasis on uptime and safety.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing equipment maintenance, strong vacuum/PVD experience, and are willing to work evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on equipment engineering or maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with high-vacuum systems required; experience with sputtering or other PVD equipment strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of vacuum systems, leak detection, pumps, and deposition equipment operation.
• Proven ability to independently troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems.
• Demonstrated success in high-uptime, production-critical environments where rapid response is required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex equipment failures on sputtering and high-vacuum systems.
• Own equipment performance, driving immediate issue resolution and long-term reliability improvements.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and component replacements as required.
• Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement robust corrective actions.
• Plan and execute equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects to increase uptime.
