Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an engineer in Auburn, WA to collaborate with the engineering team and multiple departments to support production systems in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on maintaining data collection systems for performance metrics such as OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and uptime; managing projects while ensuring electrical and safety code compliance; and developing workarounds with proper hardware/software configuration and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
• ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Engineering Team and other departments to align on goals.
• Maintains and improves data collection systems tracking OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and machine uptime.
• Manages projects and ensures compliance with electrical and safety codes.
• Develops basic workarounds and maintains hardware/software configuration and documentation.
• Assists with projects involving acquisition or modification of production equipment.
• Generates system specifications from production system requirements.
• Develops bid and purchase specifications for equipment from suppliers.
• Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producible solutions.
• Works in a cross-functional team with manufacturing, quality, safety, services, R&D, suppliers.

Education

Bachelor degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET is preferred)

Job description

Collaborates with other members of your Engineering Team, as well as other departments such as fabrication, purchasing, finance, and operations

Maintains and improves data collection systems that track equipment performance metrics including OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and machine uptime.

Manages projects and comply with industry standards including electrical and safety codes

Develops and implements basic work-arounds and maintains configuration of hardware, software and documentation.

Assists and helps manage projects involving the acquisition or modification of production equipment.

Generates system specifications from production system requirements

Develops and releases bid and purchase specifications for equipment needs from suppliers.

Analyzes design/build concepts, to evaluate a producible design/build definition. Investigates alternative solutions to meet the producibility requirements.

Works in a cross functional team alongside manufacturing, quality, safety, services, research and technology, suppliers and vendors

Required Skills:

• Bachelor degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (ABET is a preferred, although not required, accreditation standard)
• 2 or more years’ related engineering work experience

Preferred Skills:

• 2 or more years of experience working in a production environment
• 2 or more years of experience in electrical and electronic systems
• Electrical or Computer Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Experience with systems diagnostics and troubleshooting.
