Job description

We are looking for an Equipment/Diesel Mechanic to join our team! You will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair for various types of heavy equipment (skid steers, loaders, dozers, haul trucks, etc) in the Odessa/Midland area. Job applicant must provide their own tools. Mechanic truck is provided. Medical insurance after 60 days.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair machinery
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance such as lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis
  • Use diagnostic tools to test components
  • Perform all maintenance operations in accordance with technical specifications and safety regulations
  • Input daily repair and maintenance information in database
  • Periodically inspect equipment and complete report
  • Test equipment after repair to ensure proper performance
  • Keep equipment service records
  • Keep work area and all tools, vehicles, and equipment neat, clean, and in good repair
  • Comply with all environmental, health, and safety and training policies, procedures and requirements
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a diesel mechanic
  • Knowledge of shop equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends
  • Organizational skills
