University of Virginia Department of Finance seeks applicants for a part‑time Equipment Coordinator to perform equipment verification and tagging procedures. This role directly supports the Business Assets & Cost Recovery group within UVA Finance. The Equipment Coordinator will attach asset compliance tags to university capital equipment as assigned and will assist with inventory scanning as needed. This role will require a lot of walking through UVA buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities
  • Attach asset compliance tags to capital equipment across grounds and document equipment with a photo.
  • Update location and fill critical data for equipment if necessary.
  • Send asset compliance tags through campus mail when department self‑tagging is noted in Salesforce case.
  • Monitor and close Salesforce cases connected to the equipment being tagged.
  • Assist in Physical Asset Inventory as needed.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have and maintain a valid Virginia Driver’s License (VA DL) and have consistent access to a motor vehicle.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn Salesforce.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and to collaborate constructively with staff across campus.
  • Exercise discretion in obtaining and providing factual and confidential information.
  • Experience with meticulously following policies and procedures.
Physical Requirements for This Position
  • Ability to walk and stand for 6-8 hours a day.
  • Frequent walking, bending, stooping.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 25–50lbs.

Position Compensation Range: $16.00 - $20.00 Hourly
