Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking staff to manage day-to-day facilities operations and ensure that UVA environments are welcoming and functional. Roles involve overseeing supplies, maintaining equipment, and supporting efficient processes across departments.

Job description

These roles are responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day functions that support the university's physical and logistical needs. Staff in these positions work to ensure that facilities are well-maintained, operational processes are efficient, and UVA environments are welcoming and functional.

These roles are responsible for managing the university's supplies and materials, including ordering, storing, and distributing items across departments. They monitor stock levels, track assets, and ensure that essential materials are available when needed.

Individual contributors who provide support to an organization, often in direct service, operational, technical or administrative functions. Spends majority of time in the delivery of support services or activities, typically under supervision. Opportunities for progression outside this career stream are typically limited without additional education or significant training and experience.

Seasoned individual contributor. Works under limited supervision for routine situations. Provides assistance and training to lower level employees. Problems are typically non-routine and require analysis to understand. Makes minor adjustments to working methods and independently develops solutions to problems. Explains practices, procedures and policies to reach agreement with others outside of the Job Area.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Graduate or equivalent required. Associate's Degree preferred

Experience: 3 years relevant experience

Licensure: None required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently traveling; Repetitive motion: (computer tasks). Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to outdoor climate.

The pay range for this role is $20.00 - $31.99 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
