Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is seeking an Equipment Designer/Drafter to create, modify, and manage 2D and 3D models for data center equipment projects. You will translate concepts into precise drawings while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure design intent is captured, perform basic design checks, and support manufacturing documentation and BOM preparation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or diploma-qualified candidates with CAD drafting focus.
• Experience with 2–5 years in CAD drafting or design.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering sketches and specs.
• Strong knowledge of dimensioning, tolerancing, and ASME Y14 standards.

Responsibilities

• Produce and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD tools.
• Interpret sketches, specs, and design notes to create technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to capture design intent.
• Maintain drawing accuracy with version control and standards.
