Job summary

United Rentals is the world’s largest equipment rental provider. The Equipment Associate role within our Matting Solutions Division involves performing a variety of manual tasks to support branch operations and provide labor assistance to service technicians, sales staff, and other team members.

You will check equipment, ensure safety, load/unload rentals, operate a delivery truck, and help prepare gear for customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills.
• Diligent attention to safety and quality.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure good working order.
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and operate a delivery truck for pick-up/drop-off.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
