Job summary

United Rentals needs an Equipment Associate to support branch operations. You will assist service technicians and sales staff, ensuring equipment is clean, safe, and ready for rental. The role offers opportunities for growth into driver and technician development programs.

Expect hands-on tasks, safety-focused work, and teamwork with branch personnel. The position emphasizes reliable performance, strong customer service, and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills.
• Diligent attention to safety and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure that equipment is in good working order.
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers as well as drive a delivery truck to pick-up and drop-off equipment.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
