Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to perform a variety of manual tasks ensuring smooth branch operation. You will support service technicians, sales staff, and other branch personnel to meet customer needs.

The role emphasizes safety and hands-on equipment handling, with opportunities for advancement into Driver and Service Technician programs and a focus on delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication, multitasking and teamwork essential.
• Must have a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals and compliance, ensure good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment to customers and drive a delivery truck for pickup/drop-off.
