Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to support service technicians, sales staff and other branch personnel. You will check equipment for damage, load/unload, and prepare equipment for rental; you may also demonstrate equipment to customers and drive a delivery truck.

This role emphasizes safety, teamwork and superior customer service, with potential opportunities for development through the Driver and Service Technician programs. Safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level on return.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, compliance and working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive delivery truck.
• Perform other duties as needed.
