Job summary

United Rentals is seeking an Equipment Associate to support branch operations. You will assist service technicians, sales staff and other personnel by performing manual tasks and preparing equipment for rental. The role emphasizes safety, reliability and customer satisfaction as core priorities.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, loading/unloading gear, and demonstrating equipment to customers. Opportunities for advancement exist through our Driver and Service Technician development

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication, multitasking and teamwork skills.
• Diligent attention to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and ensure good working order.
• Clean equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment, and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and operate delivery vehicle for pick-up/drop-off.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
