Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Equipment Associate in Phoenix, AZ to support service technicians, sales staff and branch personnel with labor and equipment handling.

You will check returned equipment, ensure safety compliance, clean gear, load/unload, and assist with on-site demonstrations and deliveries. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; strong safety awareness and customer service are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Effective communication, multi-tasking and teamwork skills.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs. frequently.

Responsibilities

• Check equipment for damage, hours used, mileage and fuel level upon return to the branch.
• Inspect rental equipment for safety decals, safety compliance, and good working order.
• Clean all equipment and maintain a clean work area.
• Load and unload rental equipment and prepare equipment for rental.
• Checkout and demonstrate equipment for customers and drive a delivery truck for pick-up/drop-off.
• Perform other duties as needed.
