Job summary

GeoStabilization International is seeking an Equipment & Asset Manager to optimize our fleet across multiple locations, evaluating when to buy, lease, or rent assets, and building cost-based justifications for investments. Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant experience in asset management, strategic purchasing, fleet management, financial analysis, or related operational roles.
• Experience evaluating business needs and recommending purchases or investments, not just processing orders.
• Ability to explain why an asset is needed, compare alternatives, and connect decisions to cost and operational value.
• Experience with budgeting, project costing, utilization analysis, or lifecycle cost comparisons.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort using Excel and business systems to support decisions.

Responsibilities

• Work with project and field leaders to understand equipment needs, timing, and job requirements.
• Evaluate whether to buy, lease, rent, repair, transfer, or dispose of equipment based on cost, condition, utilization, and demand.
• Build financial comparisons that account for purchase price, maintenance, transportation, downtime, and resale value.
• Review equipment availability across locations and share resources before adding assets.
• Support project costing by providing equipment rates, availability, and transportation estimates.
• Track utilization and spending, identify underused assets, and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Evaluate vendors, negotiate terms, and manage purchasing decisions through delivery.
• Coordinate with maintenance and shop teams to understand equipment condition and replacement timing.
• Understand equipment movement across locations and get assets to job sites.
