Job summary

Loenbro is seeking an Equipment and Materials Driver to safely transport electrical materials to and from the Franklin, TN area, including warehouses, suppliers, and job locations.

You will load/unload trucks, perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain log books, and submit monthly fleet reports. This full-time, non-exempt role requires a clean MVR and at least 21 with a HS diploma/GED, with benefits including medical, 401(k), PTO, and more.

Qualifications

  • Six months of experience driving/transporting materials or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience pulling trailers and handling related equipment.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a High School diploma or GED; clean Motor Vehicle Record.

Responsibilities

  • Safely perform and direct the loading and unloading of trucks.
  • Transport electrical materials to and from warehouse, suppliers, and job sites.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
  • Understand and complete the log book accurately.
  • Submit monthly vehicle reports to fleet management.
  • Contribute to office and warehouse projects as needed.

Job Summary

The Equipment and Materials Driver is responsible for safely transporting electrical materials to and from warehouse, suppliers, and job locations.

  • Safely perform and direct the loading and unloading of trucks
  • Transport electrical materials in a safe, responsible manner
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and communicate any problems and standard maintenance with your vehicle
  • Understand and complete the log book
  • Submit monthly vehicle reports to fleet
  • Perform additional ad hoc responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to various office and warehouse/yard projects
Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Have at least six months experience driving/transporting materials
  • Have experience pulling trailers
  • Be at least 21 years of age with a High School diploma or GED
  • Have a clean Motor Vehicle Record

  • Exercise independent judgment and be motivated to grow and develop professionally
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to problem solving and customer service skills

  • Outside most of the time.
  • Potential exposure to extreme cold and hot temperatures
  • Limited working surfaces
  • Exposure to noise above 85 decibels and intense odors
  • Exposure to areas with limited visibility
  • Climbing up and down stairs and ladders to both get in and out of trenches and up to elevated platforms (scaffolding at significant heights)
  • Lifting necessary equipment and materials 1-50 pounds, 50% of the time monthly for required tasks
  • If driving is required, a valid driver’s license and proof of insurability is required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
