Job summary

Diamond C in Mount Pleasant, TX is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator - Fork Lift to join our indirect operations team. The role requires operating cranes, forklifts, plasma and laser cutting equipment, while maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

• Operates one of the following equipment to accomplish task:
  • Cranes, forklifts, steel saws, press brake, plasma, laser cutter, and sandblaster.
• Prior to operating equipment, conducts routine inspections to identify needed maintenance or repairs.
• Monitors gauges and other indicators to ensure safe operation.
• Performs or requests necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment.
• Tasks vary by department.
• Report any incident (injury, illness, near miss), or safety hazard to immediate supervisor.
• Properly wear, care, clean, maintain, store, and inspect PPE as required.
• Only perform tasks that you are properly equipped and trained to perform.
• Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
• Take responsibility for your personal wellbeing and that of others
• Actively participate in EHS training and investigations.
• Perform other job duties and responsibilities as needed by Production Leadership.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of equipment.
• Understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
• Frequent exposure to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold and airborne particles.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience:

• Equivalent combination of training and experience operating the following equipment:
  • Cranes, forklifts, steel saws, plasma laser cutter, and sandblasters.
