Job summary

Diamond C is seeking an Equipment Operator for Laser operations at our Mount Pleasant, TX facility. You will operate laser cutting equipment among other heavy machinery, perform routine inspections, and ensure safe, efficient production.

Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with cranes, forklifts, steel saws, and plasma laser cutters, plus a commitment to PPE and safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. This is an on-site role in Mount Pleasant, TX.

Qualifications

• Understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of equipment.
• Understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent exposure to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold and airborne particles.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment to complete assigned tasks (cranes, forklifts, steel saws, plasma laser cutter, sandblaster).
• conducts routine inspections prior to operation.
• Monitors gauges and indicators to ensure safe operation.
• Performs repairs or requests adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Reports incidents or hazards to supervisor; adheres to PPE requirements.
• Participates in EHS training and investigations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Production Leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Operates one of the following equipment to accomplish task:
  • Cranes, forklifts, steel saws, press brake, plasma, laser cutter, and sandblaster.

Prior to operating equipment, conducts routine inspections to identify needed maintenance or repairs.

Monitors gauges and other indicators to ensure safe operation.

Performs or requests necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment.

Tasks vary by department.

Report any incident (injury, illness, near miss), or safety hazard to immediate supervisor.

Properly wear, care, clean, maintain, store, and inspect PPE as required.

Only perform tasks that you are properly equipped and trained to perform.

Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Take responsibility for your personal wellbeing and that of others

Actively participate in EHS training and investigations.

Perform other job duties and responsibilities as needed by Production Leadership.

Qualifications:
