Job summary

Diamond C in Mount Pleasant, TX is seeking an Equipment Operator (Press Brake) to run and maintain metal fabrication equipment. You will perform pre-shift inspections, monitor gauges, and operate cranes, forklifts, plasma laser cutter, and other machines safely. You’ll follow PPE guidelines and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience operating various heavy equipment (cranes, forklifts, plasma laser cutter, press brake).
• Knowledge of safety rules and ability to operate machinery safely.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, steel saws, press brake, plasma, laser cutter, and sandblaster.
• Conduct routine inspections before operating equipment and identify maintenance needs.
• Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure safe operation and perform adjustments as needed.
• Report incidents, injuries, illnesses, near misses, and safety hazards to supervisor.
• Wear and maintain PPE; follow safety protocols and participate in EHS training.

Responsibilities:

Operates one of the following equipment to accomplish task:

Cranes, forklifts, steel saws, press brake, plasma, laser cutter, and sandblaster.

Prior to operating equipment, conducts routine inspections to identify needed maintenance or repairs.

Monitors gauges and other indicators to ensure safe operation.

Performs or requests necessary repairs and adjustments to equipment.

Tasks vary by department.

Report any incident (injury, illness, near miss), or safety hazard to immediate supervisor.

Properly wear, care, clean, maintain, store, and inspect PPE as required.

Only perform tasks that you are properly equipped and trained to perform.

Operate equipment in a safe and responsible manner.

Take responsibility for your personal wellbeing and that of others

Actively participate in EHS training and investigations.

Perform other job duties and responsibilities as needed by Production Leadership.

Qualifications:

Understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of equipment.

Understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.

Frequent exposure to odor, noise, dust, heat, cold and airborne particles.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience:

Equivalent combination of training and experience operating the following equipment:

Cranes, forklifts, steel saws, plasma laser cutter, and sandblasters.
