Job summary

Diamond C in Mount Pleasant, TX is seeking a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our distribution team. The role requires accurate picking, packing, and preparing shipments for the distribution center, using packing materials and shipping documents.

You will review shipments for quality, communicate inventory concerns, and follow safety policies. Candidates should have at least two years of related experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to operate a manual pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Pulls parts and products using predetermined locations and quantities on the pick ticket.
• Prepares pulled product on push carts, mobile carts or pallets and transfers to the Distribution Center checkpoint.
• Reviews shipments for quality and accuracy; reviews accompanying documents for accuracy.
• Assists in properly packaging parts using bubble wrap, paper, foam void fill and boxes to ensure safe transit.
• Addresses or communicates any inventory concerns to Warehouse Lead or Supervisor.
• Generates shipping documents such as packing lists and bills of lading using TMS.
• Performs duties following safety policies and reports Safety concerns to the DC Manager.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work in a NON- Climate controlled environment
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must wear safety gear, such as glasses, gloves, ear plugs and steel toe boots.
