This year-round, on-site position supports veterinarians, handles horses, and maintains clinical documentation while contributing to the health and performance of equine athletes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; equine veterinary tech training a plus.
• Experience with horses, especially thoroughbreds, is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures for thoroughbred racehorses.
• Handle and restrain horses safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and vehicles.
• Prepare medications and procedures as directed by supervising veterinarian.
• Perform routine lab work and maintain lab equipment.
• Monitor horses for illness or distress and report observations.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
