• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in equine veterinary technology is a plus.
• Previous experience working with horses, specifically thoroughbreds, is preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and documentation.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic team and contribute to the health and performance of these majestic animals. This position will travel between Louisville, KY during the summer racing season and south to Hot Springs, AR for the winter months. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Assisting veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and medical procedures for thoroughbred racehorses
• Handling and restraining horses safely and effectively
• Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including office areas and veterinary vehicles.
