Vetcor is seeking an experienced Equine Veterinary Technician/Receptionist to join our growing practice in Texas. The role blends hands-on equine patient care with client-service duties, including scheduling, farm calls, and care coordination.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary technician experience, preferably in equine medicine.
• Strong equine handling and restraint skills.
• Comfort working safely around large and unpredictable animals.
• Confidence assisting with veterinary procedures, diagnostics, anesthesia, and patient nursing.
• Strong customer-service and client-communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while following direction from veterinarians and hospital leadership.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, treatments, and surgeries.
• Safely handle, restrain, and care for equine patients.
• Obtain and record thorough patient histories and vital signs.
• Administer medications, vaccines, fluids, and treatments as directed by a veterinarian.
• Coordinate and confirm farm calls and appointment times.
• Answer incoming calls and provide professional client service.
• Schedule appointments and maintain an efficient daily calendar.
