Job summary

Bluegrass Equine Surgery in Versailles, Kentucky is seeking an Equine Surgeon's Assistant to join our team. This full-time role supports the Surgeon with calendar management, case preparation, and client service in a busy equine hospital and ambulatory practice.

Work closely with the Surgeon and Surgery Operations Manager, participating in surgical and ambulatory duties while helping maintain high standards of patient care and hospital efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience in equine veterinary settings.
• Ability to read horse body language and perform handling of horses.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime.

Responsibilities

• Provide calendar management and support to the Surgeon and Surgery Operations Manager.
• Assist during surgery and prepare sterile sites and instruments.
• Maintain ambulatory and hospital workflow, patient records, and billing information.
• Promote teamwork and professional conduct across the practice.
