Job summary

The Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a full-time, clinical- or tenure-track faculty position in Equine Soft Tissue Surgery at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. The position offers a balance of clinical service, teaching, and scholarly activities tailored to track (clinical or tenure).

The successful candidate will join a Large Animal Surgery service of nine faculty.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree required for clinical-track or tenure-track.
• PhD in a relevant field preferred for tenure-track.
• ACVS board certification or eligibility for Phase II of ACVS exam.
• Demonstrated teaching ability in pre-clinical and clinical programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care for a referral population of large animal surgical patients.
• Engage in didactic teaching for veterinary students and house officers.
• Contribute to scholarly activities and service within the department.
