Job summary

All West Veterinary Hospital in Bozeman, Montana, seeks an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our mixed animal team. The role supports exam rooms, outpatient, surgical and dental workflows, with hands-on care for equine and small animals throughout the year.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant.
• Experience with equine patients preferred; other equine hands-on work considered.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint for equine and small animals.
• Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly.
