Job summary

Oldfield Club in Kentucky is seeking an Equestrian Technician to provide daily horse care and assist with barn operations. You will support programming including shows, clinics, and summer camps while delivering educational horseback riding experiences to members and clients.

This role requires comfort working outside in all weather, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork. Full-time employment includes PTO, a full benefits package, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years of horse husbandry experience.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must pass a background check.

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily routine care of horses and other barn animals, light pasture/arena maintenance, and light veterinary care. Assists with programming including shows, clinics, and summer camps, as well as other duties as assigned. The qualified candidate must perform safely and efficiently while interacting daily with members, boarders, and clients. We are looking for a positive, efficient, and reliable team member who is detail-oriented and can thrive both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Other duties include providing educational and family-oriented experiences for members of the community through instruction in horseback riding activities and other recreational activities offered by the Equestrian Center. Due to the nature of this position, qualified applicants must be comfortable working outside in all weather conditions and able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. The hourly rate is $17.50. The work week consists of four 10-hour shifts with three consecutive days off per week. Full-time employees receive PTO, a full benefits package, 401(k), and life insurance.

Qualifications:

A valid U.S.-issued driver's license

Minimum of three years of horse husbandry experience

Must pass a background check
