The World Equestrian Center in Ocala, FL is seeking an Engineering Technician (Full-Time) to perform preventative maintenance and repairs across HVAC, electrical, plumbing and general facilities. You will report to the Chief Engineer or Supervisor and handle work orders, readings, and routine turnovers.

Ideal candidates bring a high school diploma and at least 1 year of maintenance experience, plus basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical and kitchen equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year in maintenance or related position.
  • Experience in maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Pool, and Plumbing systems.
  • Some guest service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and math skills necessary.
  • Excellent follow up and attention to detail skills required.

Description

The Engineer Technician is primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repair at the World Equestrian Center. The Engineering Tech is expected to report to Chief Engineer or Supervisor upon arriving to work to receive work to be one for the day, as well as give or receive Shift Turnover communication.


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Troubleshoot any maintenance problems and repair.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Minimum of (1) years’ experience in maintenance or related position

  • Experience in maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Pool, and Plumbing systems

  • Some guest service and communication skills

  • Basic computer and math skills necessary

  • Excellent follow up and attention to detail skills required.

  • Must have some comprehension of system operations and ability to act to troubleshoot.

  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment.

  • Strong ability to Multitask.
