The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Equal Opportunity Specialist (NH-0260-02) to work at the 96th Test Wing, Equal Opportunity Office (96 TW/EOH) at Eglin Air Force Base.
The primary purpose of this position is: To provide Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) advice regarding processes, rights and responsibilities, complaint processing, and mediation, facilitation, and other conflict resolution services to military members, civilian employees, supervisors, and management.
In this position you will Perform EO Counselor duties providing services to any organization as needed and handling a full range of complaints of alleged discrimination and sexual harassment. Identify EO problems that go beyond the scope of an individual case to include assessing organizational situations and procedures that may contribute to a climate that fosters a continuum of behaviors leading to more serious problems.

Typical 2026 salary range: $40,736 to $97,087 per year (includes locality)
“If your current basic salary is within the band, but above the stated VOP, your basic salary will not be reduced if you are selected for the position.”
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel possible
Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. Upon completion of your probationary/trial period, your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
This is a designated Drug Testing Position.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a “Secret” security clearance.
Must possess a current and valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of federal equal employment opportunity program laws, regulations, principles, concepts, Uniform Code of Military Justice articles, Executive Orders, Presidential Proclamations, court decisions, methodology, and complaint processing for civilian employees and military members.
Knowledge of regulations, laws, policies, and procedures pertaining to the dispute systems and the processes involved with negotiated appeal and grievance procedures, Equal Employment Opportunity discrimination complaints, Military Equal Opportunity complaints, disciplinary and adverse action procedures, and the current trends and developments associated with Negotiated Dispute Resolution to include mediation.
Knowledge of the specifics of some federal personnel administration regulations, principles, policies, operations, and practices for civilian personnel programs including special emphasis employment, the military personnel systems; and the structure and functions of federal agencies.
Skill in fact-finding and analysis of a variety of facts and opinions concerning controversial complex issues by determining meaning, relevancy, and significance of a large body of complex and interrelated pieces of information from many sources to include identification of interests of disputing parties, weighing evidence, identifying problems, making conclusions and recommendations, and reporting and presenting findings.
Skill in advising and counseling on Equal Employment Opportunity and Military Equal Opportunity programs, compliance and enforcement, and requiring the interpretation and explanation of a body of laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and practices.
