Stanley Black & Decker is seeking an EPS Operator for the 1st shift in Sedalia, MO. The role focuses on operating Expanded Polystyrene machinery, maintaining process safety, and ensuring high-quality foam packaging materials.

You will monitor equipment, adjust densities, and log data to support production schedules. The position emphasizes lean manufacturing practices, routine inspections, and teamwork in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge is required.
• Good manual dexterity for handling small parts and tools.
• Ability to read instructions from manuals, drawings, and schematics with precision.
• Solid understanding of quality control principles and adherence to standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate EPS foam equipment safely and follow established procedures.
• Care for equipment to prevent breakdowns and improve efficiency via 5S/TPM.
• Read and interpret press system sequences and PLC output steps.
• Monitor density and adjust the pre-expander to maintain product quality.
• Record density data, schedule mold changeovers, and input data into the SAP/PC system.
• Perform daily inventories and forklift/clamp truck checks and 6S audits.
