Job summary

IQE is seeking a Production Technician in Taunton, MA to support epitaxial material production. The role involves monitoring manufacturing processes, following detailed procedures, and maintaining high quality in a cleanroom environment.

The position may require varying shifts for 24-hour operation and includes training to progress within the role, with emphasis on safety, data collection, and cross-department teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED; Associates or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with Ultra High Vacuum systems and semiconductor wafer handling.
• Experience with MBE growth of GaAs materials preferred.
• Must be able to follow very detailed instruction to completion.

Responsibilities

• Monitor control of the manufacturing process and ensure production goals are met.
• Follow strict procedures and maintain quality standards.
• Work with moderate supervision during training and progression within the role.
• Maintain cleanliness and ownership via scheduled housekeeping in the cleanroom.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental, ISO and regulatory guidelines.
• Provide data collection support to Process Engineers and document traceability.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting for tool/equipment issues and develop competence.
