Job summary

Wolfspeed is seeking an Engineering Technician to support epitaxy process development. You will operate reactors, collect data, and help troubleshoot equipment in a fast-paced R&D environment, collaborating with engineers and technicians across Production and R&D.

The role requires an associate degree or equivalent, strong mechanical aptitude, and meticulous attention to detail. Candidates should be comfortable in a clean-room and capable of handling fragile wafers, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in a clean-room environment (>80% of time).
• Good dexterity with fragile wafers and process equipment.
• Good mechanical skills and aptitude.
• Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• High energy, self-motivated, and goal-oriented attitude.
• Export control compliant.
• This role may require additional duties per management.

Responsibilities

• Support process experiments by loading, operating, and unloading epitaxy reactors.
• Track R&D wafers through process and metrology workflows.
• Perform wafer characterization and collect data.
• Ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and documentation.
• Communicate technical issues, root causes, and resolutions to stakeholders.
• Perform routine maintenance on epitaxy reactors.
• Develop operating procedures and train staff based on learnings.
• Lead simple projects from planning to completion.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
