Job summary

Summa Health is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, Ohio. This role focuses on complex epilepsy care within a technology-forward program and includes opportunities for academic collaboration with NEOMED.

The position supports a 100% epilepsy practice with access to comprehensive neurology services, inpatient/EMU settings, and a pathway to contribute to pediatric-to-adult epilepsy transition.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology.
• Completion of an Epilepsy fellowship.
• Interest in complex epilepsy management and advanced care.
• Current Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.
• Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education.
• Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
• Interest in clinical innovation, technology and advancement of epilepsy treatment.

Responsibilities

• Practice 100% epilepsy with a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory.
• Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, pediatrics and regional partners.
• Engage in teaching, lectures and resident education.
• Contribute to program development, research and innovation.
