Job summary
Summa Health in Akron, OH, is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute. This role offers a unique opportunity to advance a comprehensive epilepsy program within a forward-thinking health system invested in technology, advanced diagnostics, and surgical intervention.
The practice combines clinic and inpatient/EMU settings with a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory.
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in neurology.
- Completion of an epilepsy fellowship.
- Unrestricted Ohio medical license or ability to obtain one.
- Interest in teaching, lectures and resident education.
- Experience in complex epilepsy management and/or advanced epilepsy care.
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered, team-based care.
- Interest in clinical innovation and technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide 100% epilepsy-focused care in clinic and inpatient/EMU settings.
- Collaborate with neurology, neurosurgery, and related services to advance the program.
- Engage in teaching and resident education.
- Participate in research and medical education initiatives.
- Contribute to program development and patient outcomes.
