Summa Health is seeking an experienced Epilepsy Specialist to join the Summa Health Neurosciences Institute in Akron, Ohio. This role offers the opportunity to advance a comprehensive epilepsy program within a health system committed to technology, innovation, advanced diagnostics, and surgical intervention for epilepsy.
The position supports a 100% epilepsy practice with a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory, in-house imaging and laboratory services, and potential for an academic
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in neurology.
- Completion of an epilepsy fellowship.
- Experience with complex epilepsy management is preferred.
- Licensed or eligible to practice medicine in Ohio.
- Interest in teaching and resident education.
- Commitment to patient-centered, team-based care.
- Interest in clinical innovation and technology.
Responsibilities
- Practice 100% epilepsy care with a fully staffed neurophysiology laboratory.
- Collaborate across neurology, neurocritical care, neurohospitalist and stroke services; partner with pediatric and surgical teams.
- Engage in research, innovation and medical education within a robust neuroscience program.
- Academic appointment with Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) available to qualified candidates.
- Lead or participate in teaching and resident education within Summa Health Neurosciences Institute.
