Job summary

SierTeK Ltd. in Ohio seeks an Epidemiologist to support USAF School of Aerospace Medicine at Wright-Patterson AFB.

The role conducts advanced epidemiological research, health surveillance, and statistical analyses to improve force health protection and operational readiness. Responsibilities include data integration from multiple sources, analyzing health and personnel datasets, developing models, and communicating findings to Air Force leadership.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MPH or MS) or Ph.D. in Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum five years of experience performing statistical analyses in public health or related field.
• Experience designing and leading analyses of health surveillance, medical, personnel, or operational datasets.
• Advanced analytics and health surveillance visualization skills.
• Experience reducing adverse health outcomes and improving force readiness.
• Proficiency with SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Design, conduct, and lead epidemiological analyses of health surveillance, medical, personnel, operational, and deployment-related data.
• Perform statistical analyses to evaluate human performance, operational readiness, and program effectiveness.
• Develop innovative analytical approaches to address complex public health questions.
• Assist in developing statistical models linking health outcomes and operational factors.
• Document analytical procedures and ensure reproducibility per USAFSAM standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to translate findings.
