Job summary

SierTeK is seeking an Epidemiologist to support the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine by providing advanced analyses, public health surveillance, and data integration to enhance operational readiness. You will work with the Public Health, Occupational Epidemiology, and Federated Epidemiology teams to transform surveillance data into actionable intelligence for military leaders.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of epidemiology, biostatistics, public health surveillance, and study design.
  • Experience with public health surveillance systems (AFDRSi, ESSENCE, DOEHRS, MHS GENESIS) and HL7 data.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate and harmonize public health data from multiple sources to support MDC2 capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain DSS, dashboards, and HUDs for commanders and public health personnel.
  • Provide epidemiological consultation and support outbreak investigations and surveillance activities.
  • Prepare technical reports, briefings, and scientific manuscripts for leadership and conferences.
