Job summary

Cook Children's Health Care System seeks an Epic Web and Service Server Engineer to join the Technology Services team at the Fort Worth campus. The role focuses on developing and applying technical expertise for the Epic infrastructure, enabling reliable operation and upgrade paths for Epic environments.

You will collaborate with Epic app development teams, perform system performance tuning, capacity planning, and configuration management, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and hospital standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 3 years of direct Epic ECSA experience is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in information technology with progressive responsibilities required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Health Care environment preferred
• 3 years of progressive responsibilities/experience in one or a combination of: Web Services, Server Administrator, Systems Engineer, Network Administration
• Understanding of operating system concepts such as user/group ownership and permissions, file system/volume group configuration
• Knowledge of PowerShell
• Ability to create, understand, and follow processes to ensure successful maintenance

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Epic technical infrastructure across systems, networks, and data architectures.
• Advise Epic application development teams on Epic standards and technologies.
• Install, test, maintain, and deploy Epic components and hardware–software stack.
• Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization across Epic environments.
