Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director, Solutions Architect for Epic Applications to direct architecture, design, and delivery of Epic solutions supporting Medicare Star Ratings and Healthy Planet. This senior role bridges Epic expertise with value-based care, translating requirements into scalable architecture and governance.

You will lead teams of Epic analysts and collaborate with quality, risk, compliance and IT leaders to align roadmaps with business strategy, ensuring accurate STARS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, or related field.
• 10+ years in healthcare IT with 5+ years on Epic applications.
• Hands-on or architectural experience with Epic Healthy Planet, Care Everywhere, and/or population health modules.
• Strong CMS STARS, HEDIS, and quality/risk adjustment reporting knowledge.
• Experience architecting Clarity, Caboodle, and/or Epic reporting tools.
• Proven leadership of enterprise-scale Epic initiatives.
• Understanding of value-based care and payer-provider data exchange.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Epic architecture for Healthy Planet, care coordination, and quality reporting.
• Design scalable data models linking Clarity/Caboodle to STARS needs.
• Serve as technical authority on Epic population health tools and data sources.
• Collaborate with EA and data teams to align with governance and interoperability.
• Evaluate build vs buy for third-party STARS/quality vendors.
• Lead design and optimization of Epic workflows for CMS Star ratings.
• Oversee reporting via Workbench, SlicerDicer, and Clarity for dashboards.
• Lead Epic analysts/architects and coordinate with business leadership.
