Job summary

The University of Miami Health System in Miami is seeking an experienced Epic Senior Analyst for Optime/Anesthesia to own configuration, testing, and ongoing support of the Epic platform.

You will work with clinical and IT teams to optimize the system, train users, document workflows, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure reliable operations and patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and Epic Optime/Anesthesia certification.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, develop and train others.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with stakeholders to optimize Epic Optime/Anesthesia configuration and access.
  • Serves as primary end-user support contact for the application.
  • Initiates design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the system.
  • Conducts testing and documents workflow design.
  • Analyzes IT in clinical workflows and validates impacts to workflows.
  • Identifies issues and guides resolution; supports day-to-day operations.
  • Develops training strategies with trainers and end users.
  • Ensures the application meets business and clinical needs; participates in on-call rotations.
  • Keeps leadership updated on project status and issues.

To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this tip sheet.The University of Miami Health System (“UHealth”) IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Epic Senior Analyst - Optime/Anesthesia.The Epic Senior Analyst - Optime/Anesthesia initiates the implementation, builds, and modifies complex applications, and collaborates with key stakeholders, end-users, and application team members to optimize the application’s configuration, function, and access.
