Hartford HealthCare is seeking an experienced ITS Revenue Cycle Application Manager in Farmington to lead a high-performing team focused on optimizing software solutions for Hospital Billing, Claims and Remittance. You’ll partner with operational leaders to ensure quality, stability, and continuous improvement across applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute for education.
• Epic Certification in Resolute Hospital Billing and Administration or Hospital Billing Claims and Remittance.
• 5+ years’ experience supporting Epic revenue cycle applications.
• 3+ years of formal leadership experience with staff performance and delivery outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of hospital billing, claims, remittance, payment posting, denials, payer requirements, interfaces, and integrated workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and communicate with operational and technical leaders.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and delivery of application services including production support, maintenance, upgrades, optimization, and project work.
• Translate Revenue Cycle leadership priorities into team goals, resource plans, assignments, milestones, and measurable outcomes.
• Provide direct leadership to Team Leads and application analysts, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, development planning, workload balancing, and succession planning.
• Establish operating practices for intake, prioritization, design, build, testing, change control, release readiness, production support, and issue escalation.
• Ensure application design, configuration, validation, integration, and documentation meet ITS standards and requirements.
• Partner with Patient Financial Services, Revenue Integrity, Finance, Compliance to improve billing, submission, remittance, and related workflows.
• Serve as escalation point for complex incidents, risks, and priorities; ensure timely communication and corrective action.
• Coordinate cross-application and cross-functional work with Revenue Cycle leaders, technical teams, and vendors.
• Monitor service levels, performance, and feedback; use data to identify improvements and action plans.
• Review Epic releases, regulatory changes, and payer requirements for impact and adoption.
• Support annual planning, budgeting, vendor management, and resource forecasting for the portfolio.
• Represent the area in governance forums and provide concise status updates to senior leadership.
