Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Epic Manager to lead Epic application design, configuration, and delivery across Epic modules. You will mentor a team, engage end users, and drive AI-enabled process improvements in a large healthcare IT environment.

The role emphasizes strong collaboration, project leadership, and a commitment to diverse, inclusive teams while delivering reliable, scalable Epic solutions across facilities in the United States.

Qualifications

• Epic CEE certification required.
• Current Epic certifications in ClinDoc, Orders, Beaker CP and/or Beaker AP.
• 7+ years combined HealthCare/IT with 5+ years Epic configuration experience.
• 2+ years in resource management or large-scale project management.
• Experience leveraging enterprise AI tools to streamline IT operations or workflows.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Epic application design, development, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with end users to design Epic Clinical Ancillary workflows.
• Lead all phases of Epic projects including upgrades and module implementations.
• Provide on-call support and incident resolution for Epic applications.
• Mentor direct reports and manage team capacity and staffing.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and test releases.
• Engage stakeholders and cultivate end-user relationships for ongoing optimization.
• Foster adoption of AI solutions to enhance configuration and workflow support.
