Job summary

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) IT Department seeks an Epic Principal Trainer 2 for Grand Central to lead training on clinical systems essential to patient care. You will build training environments, design e-learning, deliver sessions, and create curricula and manuals to promote safe, effective system use.

Responsibilities include QA testing, go-live support, and collaboration with analysts on new features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
• Strong interpersonal relationships.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve problems.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work under pressure and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Participates in pre-production simulations, workflow integration, testing, and validation of system functionality.
• Provides end-user training on clinical systems applications supported by IT Training.
• Develops training project plans aligned with IT project timelines.
• Designs lesson plans, curricula, training manuals, exercises and online modules.
• Participates in go-live activities, production support, and testing.
• Collaborates with analysts on training strategies for changes and new features.
• Reviews stakeholder interactions to ensure training meets business/clinical needs.
• Monitors projects and issues with leadership.
• Analyzes, designs, builds, tests, and troubleshoots training environments (MST).
• Participates in on-call scheduling as required.
• Adheres to University policies and safeguards assets.
