Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Epic Practice Support Assistant to join the Faculty Group Practice operations in New York. You will handle patient registration, scheduling, insurance information, and front-end workflows within the EPIC system, ensuring smooth patient experiences across ambulatory sites.

As part of the FGP team, you will support new Epic implementations, assist with migration and daily practice operations, and promote tools like MyChart and Check Mate while maintaining HIPAA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• Experience with practice management systems and MS Office; Epic familiarity is a plus.
• Strong communication, data privacy, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and complete intake including registration, forms collection, updating information, and co-payment collection.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect referral information; ensure accurate data entry in Epic.
• Promote Check Mate kiosks and assist patients in using the kiosks when needed.
• Scan required documents into Epic following guidelines for uploading outside documents.
• Monitor waiting areas and communicate wait times to patients and staff.
• Schedule follow-up visits and referrals, and collect time-of-service payments as needed.
• Encourage MyChart sign-up and patient education to promote engagement.
• Maintain patient privacy in line with HIPAA and handle confidential information.
