Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Epic Practice Support Assistant to register and schedule patients in EPIC, manage referrals, and support daily ambulatory operations across our practices.

In this role you will greet patients, obtain insurance information, promote MyChart usage, and assist with Epic implementations at new sites, while upholding NYU Langone's commitment to compassionate care and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Experience with practice management systems, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, scheduling and communications.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients, families, physicians and staff; knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule patients in the EPIC system and schedule procedures/tests.
• Greet patients, collect demographic and insurance information, and verify eligibility.
• Assist with Epic at new sites and support day-to-day practice operations.
• Promote patient experience and privacy in line with NYU Langone policies.
• Collaborate with staff and management to ensure timely patient flow.
