Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Epic Professional Billing Build Analyst to configure, optimize, test, and maintain the Epic HB system. You will partner with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, IT, and operations to translate billing requirements into effective Epic solutions.

The role focuses on PB workflow configuration, builds, testing, upgrades, documentation, and production support, with a strong emphasis on ensuring accurate charge capture and claim processing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Epic PB build/configuration experience.
• Strong PB billing workflows, workqueues, claims/edits, and account processing.
• Experience with Epic testing, upgrades, and production support.
• Ability to translate requirements from Revenue Cycle/PFS teams.

We are seeking an experienced Epic Professional Billing (PB) Build Analyst to support the configuration, optimization, testing, and maintenance of the Epic HB application. This individual will partner closely with Revenue Cycle, Patient Financial Services, IT, and operational stakeholders to translate hospital billing requirements into effective Epic system solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Epic Professional Billing (PB) functionality based on operational and revenue cycle requirements.
• Perform system build related to hospital billing workflows, charge capture, claims, billing edits, workqueues, reimbursement, and account processing.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle and Patient Financial Services teams to understand business needs and translate them into Epic configuration.
• Troubleshoot HB system issues and identify root causes within Epic build or workflows.
• Build and optimize workqueues, rules, charge-related configurations, claim edits, and billing workflows.
• Complete unit, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing for new builds and system changes.
• Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, optimization initiatives, and implementation projects.
• Create and maintain build documentation, testing scripts, and system change documentation.

Skills and Requirements

• Current Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) certification
• 5+ years of hands‑on Epic PB build/configuration experience
• Strong experience with PB billing workflows, workqueues, claims/edits, charge configuration, reimbursement, and account processing
• Experience with Epic testing, upgrades, implementations, optimization, and production support
• Experience partnering directly with Revenue Cycle/PFS teams to gather requirements and translate them into Epic build
• Epic PB Claims & Remittance certification
• Epic HB certification
• Epic Data Courier badge/experience
• Experience with Charge Router
• Multiple Epic implementations or go-livesStrong hospital revenue cycle / PFS operational knowledge
