Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Epic Hospital Billing (HB) Build Analyst to support configuration, optimization, testing, and maintenance of the Epic HB application. This role partners with Revenue Cycle, PFS, IT, and operations to translate billing requirements into effective Epic solutions.

The ideal candidate holds current Epic HB certifications, 5+ years of HB build experience, and strong knowledge of billing workflows, testing, upgrades, and go-lives.

Qualifications

• Current Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) certification.
• 5+ years of hands-on Epic HB build/configuration experience.
• Strong experience with HB billing workflows, workqueues, claims/edits, charge configuration, reimbursement, and account processing.
• Experience with Epic testing, upgrades, implementations, optimization, and production support.
• Experience partnering with Revenue Cycle/PFS teams to gather requirements and translate them into Epic build.
• HB Claims & Remittance certification.
• PB certification.
• Data Courier badge/experience.
• Charge Router experience.
• Multiple Epic implementations/go-lives.
• Strong hospital revenue cycle / PFS operational knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain Epic Hospital Billing (HB) functionality based on operational and revenue cycle requirements.
• Perform system build related to hospital billing workflows, charge capture, claims, billing edits, workqueues, reimbursement, and account processing.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle and Patient Financial Services teams to understand business needs and translate them into Epic configuration.
• Troubleshoot HB system issues and identify root causes within Epic build or workflows.
• Build and optimize workqueues, rules, charge-related configurations, claim edits, and billing workflows.
• Complete unit, integrated, regression, and user acceptance testing for new builds and system changes.
• Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, optimization initiatives, and implementation projects.
• Create and maintain build documentation, testing scripts, and system change documentation.
