Job summary

Kootenai Health seeks an Epic Application Analyst for Optime and Anesthesia to plan, implement, and support Epic and third-party applications across affiliated facilities. You will analyze workflows, define requirements, and collaborate with IS staff and vendors to ensure data integrity and system optimization.

Responsibilities include testing, upgrade support, and liaison work with clinical and administrative teams to meet quality, safety and efficiency goals.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in CS, IT, Nursing or related field preferred, or equivalent education/experience required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of analyst experience preferred.
• Epic certification or accredited in one or more Epic modules as assigned required; certification to be initiated and completed within 3 months of Epic training.

Responsibilities

• Performs in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details and other technical issues with Epic EHR and third-party applications.
• Collects requirements for potential system enhancements or new implementation and prepares specifications; prioritizes and implements changes.
• Investigates standardization and process improvement opportunities while making build decisions.
• Validates data is accurate and meets business requirements.
• Designs and executes small-scale application testing; supports installation and upgrades as assigned.
• Maintains data integrity and security for assigned applications and systems.
