Job summary

Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston seeks a Nursing Informatics Specialist to ensure Epic and related clinical systems align with nursing standards and strategic goals during the transition to the BILH Epic instance.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Nursing Informatics, you will drive informatics-enabled practice change, optimize Epic, and collaborate with clinicians, Epic leadership, analysts, and trainers to design content, standardize workflows, train staff, and communicate updates.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Nursing and/or Health Informatics required. Informatics preferred.
Registered Nurse with 5+ years of healthcare required.
End user Epic experience required.
Oncology experience in ambulatory or inpatient preferred.
Previous nursing informatics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing informatics support to Epic governance and workflow design.
Collaborate with Epic leadership, analysts, and nursing stakeholders to analyze workflows and requirements.
Represent nursing on cross-functional workgroups and committees to improve usability, safety, and quality.
Support investigation, testing, and validation of system and workflow issues; assess impacts of changes using data.
Provide input on clinical, regulatory, and operational documentation and partner on metrics and data interpretation for improvements.
Support development of end-user education and communicate Epic updates at forums.
