Systems Administrator, IT Support Specialist
Location: United States
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration: Manage and maintain Epic Client Systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.
- MyChart Development: Design, develop, and customize MyChart web applications to meet organizational and patient needs, including patient portal enhancements and user interface improvements.
- Support and Troubleshooting: Provide Tier 2/3 support for MyChart-related issues, resolving technical problems and ensuring seamless user experiences for patients and providers.
- Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate MyChart with other Epic modules and third-party systems, ensuring interoperability and data consistency.
- Configuration and Optimization: Configure MyChart features, including patient messaging, appointment scheduling, and telehealth capabilities, to align with organizational goals.
- Training and Documentation: Develop training materials and provide guidance to end-users, including clinicians and administrative staff, on MyChart functionality.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure MyChart and Epic systems comply with HIPAA regulations and other healthcare standards, implementing robust security measures.
- Project Management: Lead or contribute to MyChart-related projects, including upgrades, new feature rollouts, and system enhancements.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Epic ECSA or similar role.
- Strong expertise in MyChart web development, customization, and support.
- Proven experience with Epic system administration, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Epic modules such as Ambulatory, Inpatient, or Cadence is a plus.
- Certifications:
- Epic ECSA certification required.
- Epic MyChart certification strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Experience with Epic’s Interconnect and Web Services for integration.
- Knowledge of database management (e.g., SQL, Cache) and system interoperability standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
Compensation and Benefits
A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
