Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Application Analyst to provide expert-level support and configuration of assigned applications. The role includes training and mentoring junior analysts, engaging with customers at all organizational levels, and driving efficient operation and availability of critical systems.

The incumbent will lead change, manage projects, contribute to budgets, and apply strong troubleshooting and communication skills to deliver high-quality IT services across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration or related field; experience in lieu accepted with additional years
• Five years’ IT, clinical or business workflow experience
• Experience supporting large-scale clinical, ancillary or business environments
• Epic certification must be maintained within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Acts as liaison between work teams and departments and facilitates meetings
• Mentors junior analysts and trains new staff
• Manages customer expectations and delivers solutions on time
• Coordinates project plans, progress reports and budgets for assigned projects
• Implements and supports large, complex applications with systems analysis, design, testing, and implementation
• Communicates potential issues and creates status updates for stakeholders
